Amen!

Sun and wormth also seem to play big role more and more for the motivation part.

Can't believe it's been 13 years. Like others said , I'm a lot more picky about conditions, biggest kite is a 12 ( once owned a 22.5!). I view kiting like a snowboard or skateboarding terrain park, couple hundred yd runs with constant tricks/moves. I can beat my older body up in a couple hours and go home happy :thumb:

I've been flying kites since 2001. I can remember two game changer moments, where I tried something and I thought to myself, why hadn't I tried this sooner. The first was with a 2005 c kite. The other moment was years later on a 2002 hydrofoil. Still haven't found anything newer that gives me that same stoked feeling, though I enjoy trying the subtle differences in all of the gear out there, trying to understand what works and why. I always look forward to my next session, no matter what the conditions.

I still get pumped when I get to go out... definitely more selective with conditions. What is cool now is that I'm starting to do more wave kiting strapless. New learning curve...

i almost forgot how it feels. three weeks already and forecast promises another two to five weeks of windless crazy heat with the thousands of swimmers in our otherwise cool waters.

stupid positive North Atlantic Oscillation!

3rd year kiter, already getting jaded about "just another lawn mowing day"....<YAWN>

But all that really means is that the stupidly insane obsessive stoke is getting to something more manageable. Like being able to deal with work, family, marriage, etc.

For typical light to mid wind bigger kite days, I can settle for a short session just to get a maintenance dose. But if nuking or if there's waves to had, I am frothing to the point of not being able to maintain my composure. I think we need to start a WindAddict Anonymous group. But we will only meet when it's not windy. :naughty:

Dude we have that group at my spot. But we only meet on windy days. In fact I'm missing a meeting right now! (Even tho I feel like it, I just cant bring myself to post one of those stupid emoticons)... it would be a stuck at work sad face.
