These are NOT the inflation or deflation valves. They never see human hands, or a pump nozzle. It does look like UV damage however. Not sure how as 20 sessions isn't even close to lots of use. The canopy is still crisp for crying out loud. Even the black rubber tube connecting them is still not faded and flexible. So I dunno. I see that they have changed valves for 2015 ...
Kites don't live in my car, they are in the car when I go for a session, that is it. If the valves had delaminated then sure, a common cause from sitting in a hot car. Cracking valves? That is more direct UV damage is it not?
Still no reply from LF... I even linked them to this thread.

Here are the 2015 valves ... wonder if they will fit the 2011+ models as well? They look much better IMO.

What a PITA.
No response from LF. Not sure what I expected anyway ... even a response saying sorry would be better than nothing.
Oh well, guess I will think twice before replacing my gear with a LF product if this is how they stand behind it. Silently.

This happens to valves. It is a little early in your case and for that reason you are better off getting aftermarket ones anyway. Do you want to go trough all the work involved to put in valves that won't last again?

Had the same issue with the same kites. LF will take care of you once you get through to them. They acknowledged that the valve material deteriorates due to minor temperature fluctuations even from just storing them in a garage depending on where you live (I'm in Virginia). The replacement struts came from Airtime and they were a piece of cake but the LE bladders came from LF and they are 2013 or 14 bladders and my old valve caps required a ton of force to put them into the newer valve stems. I'm waiting on a response to get some newer valve caps for the LE.

LF got back to me. I sent them a Facebook message, and Gary instantly got back to me. He is sending a new set of bladders out. They are indeed defective from what he can see in the photos.
Thanks LF and thanks kiteforum.
boatppl - let you know how getting the valve caps back on goes.
