Any recent news and if the 2015 Edge is out yet :?:

I'm interested of the 15m to get.

My friend has the prototypes edge and catalyst and had myself the chance to fly them over one week... I had flown and liked the edge but was 8m... It felt like "video game".
Switch is also going to release light wind kite. They claim to be relaunchable at 7 knots deep water.., They will upload video of this claim anytime soon... Personally don't have any experience with large kites as we have more than 200 days blowing 16+ knots... A few times I have ridden 14 m kites can't say that I liked it...

Had flown switchblade 2015 a couple of times definitely not like switch Nitro(switchblade doesn't fly so much forward, different turning, completely different kite) . Nice kite but kind "spongy" turning feeling... Nice hang time though...

Well i'm loving my new (to me,,, its a 2013 model) 10m edge. Its soooooo much fun.

Ripping super fast and smashing a wave lip at 30mph and sending it is sublime. Its like taking off on a plane. Then glide, glide, glide. Get to max height and let the bar out completely. Start falling really fast (hear the kite flapping yourve sheeted it out some much),,,, then bar in and hard redirect at the last moment and boom a nice little hover and and pillowy soft landing.

Sorry I have nothing to add to the 2014 discussion. Just had to share my edge love.

Now i need a 7m for sillier winds.

The 2014 7m is incredible :D is used mine in 30-40knots recorded, it felt slightly underpowered at times, but when fully lit, the height of jumps was v impressive.

I had a go at wave riding and almost managed it, but need more practice to control the speed, as you say, you have to do it fast :D

I'm wave riding my edges all the time. Sure they are not a Reo and I don't expect them to be. But you can loop them down the line and they go well upwind on a wave in cross on conditions. Also suprisingly very good at cross off wave riding.

I have a 2013 10m and a 2014 10m.

I find the 2013 is faster turning and feel much lighter.

I find the 2014 is faster in a straight line but slower turning.

Both jump amazingly high. The 10m is certainly the same in terms of pull as a 12m kite from any other brand, however you can hold it down in 8m winds. I have used the 10 up to about 35 knots and in a straight line on a speed board it is incredible...

When you use a twintip in the same winds, the jumps are insane! As you'd expect them to be in that much wind.

+1 I had my first 7m session the other day & using it with a mutant with big fins, the results were silly - boosting higher than other kites.

I did find that you have to be v aggressive to nail landings from height, re-directing v hard & ideally downlooping.

I have my 8m 2014 edge flown twice for sale.
Great size and you can boost to the moon with it.

Reason i'm selling is beause I switched for the 9m chrono.
PM if interested. Great price.
