look how far the core bar shoots up. Remember the bar must shoot up the lines at least 10 meters or it will not completely depower all kites. I believe the core bar shoots up the lines about 1 meter. It then relies on the bridles to function and tip back the kite. This means it will not work on all kites especially those with short bridles that have no pulleys. Mini-5th systems all have this in common. They do not let the bar go as far up on the lines so they are easy to relaunch. This also means they will not completely depower all kites. Core also has a non-standard twist release which is bad for unhooked riding. You can accidentally QR the kite when you are trying to guide the chicken loop back on the spreader bar. As you try to guide the loop back around the speader hook you have to align the loop and as you twist the loop into place onto the hook if your fingers accidentally are on the QR, it activates.

I see what you're saying now. I'll have to test it and see if it works. A friend of mine has a 9 and 12 rabbits another one has a 7m. I'll test them to find out. Are there any other kites the new sensor bar shouldn't work with? Just curious!

there's no chart. you just have to test them to figure it out. Because it all depends on the bridle, it depends not just on the kite model, but also the size of the kite. The larger the kite and the shorter the bridle, the less likely it will fully depower on a mini-5th or a short single QR bar travel like the core.

I like the 2014 best bar and naish fusion bar. The slingshot hurts my hands too much.

2014 Slingshot Compstick has a redesigned release and depower.
Just some small changes, but the release and reload is smoother.
And the depower effort is much lighter.
Good clean simple design, no gimmicks and good quality works for me.
I also have a 2010 version that is still going strong with no problems.
(I'm just an over the hill retail customer, so no pimping here !!!

Slingshot uses all white lines.
1. Very aggravating when untangling.
2. Invisible on snow.
3. Swivels were maintained but still failed (all three).
The good.....
Safety works well.
Depower works.
OS handles are there.
Stopper holds.
