AirBunny wrote:Sorry guys, you got nothing on Toby. All you can talk about is size and loops!!! I find that pathetic and extremely limited! Toby has skills with the board most of you can't dream of. SKILL!!!! Not how high, how hard or how big... You got the whole sport wrong.
oh my bad , i didn't realize, thank you for pointing this out.
do you understand what pathetic and extremely limited means? you are right that it does describe one side of the argument but i think you have it backwards

No, do-it, I'm not Toby's alter ego. I just know a beautiful thing when I see one. Toby's moves on rhe water are a pleasure to watch. He has style. The loopers all look the same to me. Toby vs. loopers is like Beethoven vs gay techno music... Sorry if it bothers you, but I'm allowed to have an opinion.

The reason toby uses big kites is float and he's afraid a little kite will injure him. If it gets too windy he'll quit.

Back to Toby's original question, like on many beaches there is a new generation of talent coming through in the UK. One to watch from our South Cast is Oli Sweeney. He does some huge jumps. Sadly his video seems to have been shot on a lighter wind day but I hope the judges see something in his technique and aggression and give him a shot. I am sure he would be (literally and figuratively) right up there in the Big Bay comp.

OK, you practice your blow hard skills here. I'll try to learn a couple moves from Toby's "small" box of tricks. You are a big disappointment! Toby is out there developing the sport; you are developing envy and ingratitude here! Ciao

Toby is one of the best kiters in the world in his own style. His board kick flip to double foot slide is fantastic and I wish I could do that trick. I'm just telling the truth about red bull king of the air. It's a high wind competition and instead of grabbing a smaller kite if it gets too windy Toby will quit.

Wow a ton of hate being spewed by some people.... I don't see these riders putting up their submission videos! Nice to see that these arm chair athletes can pass judgement so quickly yet nobody knows or cares what they do! Toby you have just as good of a chance to do well in this comp as any other competitor....your definitely in a league above my abilities so I am rooting for you man. Would love to see Dimitri, Tom, Ruben, Jesse, and any other of the possible competitors put on a show as well. Gonna be good....
James

There is already a topic about me, no need for two.
Let us know who about the 10 riders who make it.
Not sure if it is a good idea to put in videos shot in light wind...Capetown is tuff stuff.

BTW: the jury should pay attention to the "likes" of the videos as well.

I'm looking forward to see what big D does. He has mad skills across all the disciplines used in king of air.
