+1 on the Naish Apex. They make all other pads feel like bricks.

We have tried more or less every set of pads and straps.
The AXIS Traction Plus are by far the most comfortable AND high performing set we have ever tried.
Why? Many reasons.
Highest quality of materials
Poron XRD which only AXIS Kiteboarding cares to invest in their pads. Poron XRD is an extreme impact and shock absorption membrane that you can find on both the AXIS Traction and AXIS Traction Plus (www.poronxrd.com)
Multiple adjustments to get the straps to perfectly fit your fit.
The list goes on.

http://axiskiteboarding.com/product/traction-plus-2015/

Compatible with almost every kiteboards on the market. Or at least the ones that you should care about.

– Lightweight sturdy construction
– Wider strap system for ultimate lock and support.
– 4 different strap adjustments for maximum configuration for any style of riding and foot size.
– One size strap fits all feet.
– Dual PE Layers inside the straps, with 100% foam rebound. Incredibly lightweight and supportive.
– Dual Layer extra soft neoprene with no wrinkles when arched. Very stable and comfortable.
– Velcro straps are hidden under protective flap, good place to stash a spare hardware bolt should you ever need one.

My straps are so big it's almost like riding strapless. My feet are half way out most of the time. I think I got size 44 and I'm 38. Brand+Size recommendations? Or is it OK to be riding around like Bugs Bunny?

The new shinn 2015 sneakers are really comfy with memory foam. I have another board with Cab H2, they aint bad but the Shinns are superior in every way.
