Ugh, working class UK, never fun!

I take it you know the lovely "wannabe hippie c**ts", to borrow your eloquent articulation Sjandy, from your immediate female entourage?!

I don't care to have a cyber relationship with you, so please stop addressing me directly and stop policing what everyone else is saying. It's a free forum and a free country...

We've compiled some tips for you to help make those first sessions without your instructor a little easier.

Hope they help someone out there.

Hmm loads of photos of kites... and than towards the end of your list gear... including a helmet.

So why in the f**k are there no helmets in the photos of kiters on your web pages????

I'm impressed that the crap I published was of sufficient quality to hold your attention until the end...

I would suggest you take a look again at the pictures. In case you can't be bothered, there are photos of people wearing helmets in that article and throughout my site. Yes there are also pictures of people not wearing them...

This particular guide is for beginners. It is advisable for beginners to wear a helmet but it is everyone's personal choice....

I have pictures of myself both wearing a helmet and not wearing one on this site for what its worth.

For me I decide dependant upon conditions, spots, other beach users. Still I would recommend someone in the early stages of kiteboarding to wear a helmet as protection from the board and other water users.

I will soon be learning to hydrofoil and intend to heed my own advice. I will be a beginner once more and will wear appropriate attire.

Please note I intend to release more crap into this environment soon, I hope some of it helps someone.

so this thread went horribly wrong, .... too bad, that is a well done job on the beginner tips,

we agree with everything in there, particularly beach and situational awareness and assisted launching technique.

Added a few more sections to the website.

Self Rescue refresh and Deep water self rescue demonstration of the same. Its not the only way to do this but its what seems to work best for me and our students.

Also Cathy wrote some advise for beginners buying their first kite..
