Hi. I have a couple of questions for Armin. I own a quiver of Speed 4 (8,12,15 , 21); what is the Sonic that could complete this quiver? Using a twin tip (Flyradical M) and for a medium weight rider like me, what is the range of each size (11,15, 18) ? Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Carlo

Armin, I'm also interested to know the range or compared to VS Speed4 Lotus.
Also I'd like to know if that will be possible to order those sizes in the color I like :?:

Thanks, H

Does "ready to fly" mean complete with bar?

Sorry, for my long delay. I had to focus to prepare the production of Sonic carfully and in my free time i was addicted to ride it :D .

Let me give some infos about the Sonic first. The Sonic is a different product and for experts only ! :-).
The first priority was to get a kite with the highest performance on the market.
We also added maximum stability, windrange and usability for that category.
But, if you have a look at the pictures, we have a very thin airfoil and very high aspect ratio. This makes relaunching from water less easy and secure than with the Speed.
The Sonic is not for people who often drop their kites.

For sure, the most benefit at a twin tip you will see in light wind. But the jumping is with all sizes a different level.

The windrange is bigger for a good rider, due to the outstanding good lift to drag ratio. If you move the kite, it generates more power than any other kite. This might be scary :o for people who are not used to it. Even if you have to move it, you already go upwind.
At the upper windrange, the kite parks so far at the edge of the windwindow that downwind pull is at an absolute minimized and you can edge very long before it pulls you over the rail.

The Sonic´s weight is reduced to its minimum as the kites should to be as light as possible and bot as bomb proved as possible as it should help win competitions.
We will offer the final Sonic with or without a special developed Racebar with 0,8mm 160dN backlines and 1,2mm 200dN Frontlines.

I hope, this answered help a bit already.

Cheers, Armin
Attached some pictures taken while my last riding from size 11.
