No more livestream at KOTA 2015 !

Postby Toby » Fri Feb 13, 2015 5:23 pm

RB canceled the livestream for the second and final day of KOTA 2015 !

The event is ON tomorrow (Saturday).

Really disappointed in not being able to see it.

Disappointment no 2 after the shit story with Dimitri.

can someone film it and stream it? I am sure someone close to the spot has a WLAN and someone can set it up? Tons of guys there who should be able to do so!

Please help us who cannot be there!

I'm not being funny Tony and co. but your obsession with Dimitri is getting quite creepy now.

I would love to see these guys bust out some 17m kites and go at it in 12-15 mph winds......just to see what they are capable of in wind conditions that everyone else has to deal with.

true, very interesting.

But normally, in these winds they do freestyle, so you would see good unhooked action.
This is also what they have to deal with in comps, so they train light wind riding.

Normally these riders do big air when it gets really strong, like 25+ or 30+ winds.

You don't see them on big kites trying to go big in light winds. At least I never saw them, and I rode with many of them.

Because going 'big' in light wind isn't big and it's boring. The wind at the first day of kota was freestyle wind, it wasn't big air wind at all. They should have waited till saturday/sunday for the comp. 25+ knots is when it starts to become possible to do some jumps but it's still shit for big air, 30+ is when it gets interesting and 40+ is where it's at.

Most of these guys don't do big air in 30kn of wind either, they still do freestyle. They start doing big air/loops in 35kn+. I was in cape town in january and saw Lewis do a sick blind judge 3 in 30kn with a 9m, it was insane to watch guys do hardcore wakestyle in those winds. I was doing loops in that wind and had absolutely no intention of unhooking, that's fun when it's below 25kn for me as a weekend kiter.
