So it says:
Kite (Price in € inc. 19% tax) 2.499 for a "Ready-to-Fly" for the 18m
2499 - 19% = 2024 €
2024 € = $2300 with Google currency conversion.
I'm hoping that would be the price for the 18m here in US.

some comments i heard about the SONIC is that it pulls like hell also in low winds..
possible with this aspect ratio

The 18 Sonic will be around the same price as a speed 4 21 Lotus
Prices from flysurfer usa
prices for speed 4 lotus
21m : 3100.00
18m : 2995.00
prices in Quebec
21m : 3557.00 +15% tax. = 4090.00 $
That is a lot of cash for 1 KITE

yes, lots of money, but this is ready to fly i think. Means with bar.
Without bar should be 450€ = 500USD less
