I am going back to Cabarete...maybe that's why the wind stops
Quiet a long forecast...don't know if true. Give it few more days then it will be more accurate.
Aruba, yes, very windy place! Try to go to the SE part of the island for kiting, otherwise expect gusty winds.
Also the other side of the water...Venezuela...Adicora has similar good winds! And MUCH cheaper than Aruba.

I will be in Barbados that week but can pivot to go anywhere, so would like some sage advice on forecasting for Mar 15 to 23.
- Do Aruba and Barbados get similar wind? (The long term forecasts I'm seeing per windfinder are showing 13 knots starting next Tuesday the 17th.)
- The NWS is calling for a cold front to hit Puerto Rico on the 17th. How do cold fronts from the us effect the wind in the rest of the Caribbean?
Thank you for your answers

South end of Barbados, South end of St Lucia or Union Island.

We are on our sailboat in the San Blas, and have had a week of awesome winds.
Add to that a friend just gave me an Ozone Edge 9m, best kite I have ever flown.
Here is the Windguru for our location at the time
http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?cs=420118
And if you compare that to the windiest place I know
http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc ... sty=m_spot
Then, pack your 12 and come to San Blas, or pack your 5 and go to Colombia!

Do you like strong winds and big waves? Northern New Zealand might be the go
Not in the Caribbean though

Next week it looks like the forecast drops to 12 to 14 knots for much or the Caribbean. Does Barbados have any flat water spots protected from current where a 14m kite would work in the lower winds? (Sorry to ask but I only have one week to take a kite trip this year)
Two years ago in San Blas, Panama we had a whole week of 14 knot days, but the water was so flat that you could really get powered up for practicing your wakestyle moves on a 12 or 14m.
