Pretty sure you are selling the best wave rider in the pacific NW a bit short?

That tan Pittie with the bunnies looks like my daughters dog Chula!
You could be right Supa, we can all get along...in this case that would depend on if the AirBunny decides to start acting civilized to the members here.
If she did, they will surely be less inclined to skin her alive again and again. :thumb:

Hey...thanks....i am doing my best not to be wrong....just noticed you dropped the " L "....in OlnB
Maybe i should drop the "U"....and go with SpaEZ....because the end of 5th street is my spa

It is 50/50....strap...strapless surfboards over here
Everyone is having a good time from the beginner to the more seasoned ones
Any kind of surfboards seems to work just fine..match it up with a proper size kite for maximum fun
Everyone is fully smiling after their 2 hour session at sundown no matter what float they were on

I did strapless only for 2 years straight (350 seshs / did not touch my TT's) and got real good at it
I was on Al Merrick boards ...Placebos...Wayne Lynch...Quiet Flight...etc
Since 2011 i ride exclusively with 2 straps surfb....TT's have been all sold since then

I have two directional boards that I enjoy strapless.
One is an Axis New Wave and the other is a Shinn Shinnster.
They both work in the lakes and also in the onshore Texas Gulf wave conditions.

It's EZ to be wrong, everybody here has been wrong........except for Pumpy, he has paragraph after paragraph of data to prove he is right!!
Now be careful with dropping some of your letters....you could end up with SpaZ. :D

I do have a question about fin boxes.
FCS seem to be crap.
Futures seem to be crap.
Mini Tuttle appear to be pretty good.
Why are the most popular fin boxes made so shitty?...The boxes break and damage the board too.
If the fins are made to break off easily, why are the boxes so easily damaged as well? ...what's the point?
I like surfboards, but things like the Spleene Zone, BRM Paipo, Shinn Shinnster seem to be better suited to the beatings that kiters give their boards.
I have an Axis New Wave and the company describes it as being built super durable, but it's no stronger than either of the Slingshot boards I had, the Slingshots held up much better with the Mini Tuttle boxes.
I love the shape and I love the recessed deck and full EVA deck pad on the New Wave it, but I touched sand a bit and the fin snapped off and the Future box got damaged too. I'm not sure what the point of break away fins are, if the the fin and the box both end up damaged and the box needs fixing as well as new fins.

All right straight up ready to give a review of The Duke. Had it out now for the second session and I have to say that all the hype about it is deserved. Here's a few things; Board construction is bomber, its light, tight and ascetically pleasing, the board absolutely eats the chop( we deal with lots of currents here and it is a factor), It rips upwind, better than my WHAM 5'10 quad, in fact i think the combination of the concave and fins allows it to act like a quad+ finned board but with the ability to step back on the board and release the rails which is pretty cool. The deck padding is a dream really, and with it being fun board(y) shaped you can moved around on the board wherever you want to be, which will open up a whole bunch of new possibilities I'm sure.
On the tack out and just mowing, it acted like an aquatic skateboard and i was easily popping ollies and airs(not my strength) all over. Locking into a wave and shooting the point it handled the speed and tracked well while bottom and top turns were great once i figured out how to move around a bit and release the rails to get on the fins. While in bigger surf I'm pretty sure i'll be pulling out my Cabrina Trigger or firewire, i am interested to see what it can do.

I don't work for OR, i just use whatever gear i find works for me. This board works for me and I am one happy Camper, Bravo Ocean Rodeo.
