Just curious, has anyone had a bird strike occur with a kite?

Tillman heinig, German speed sailor has a video in which his kite line takes out a sea bird in flight. Did not look good for the bird. Probably still on his YouTube channel but I don't think it's titled as such...

I think I killed a bird last year with a kite line. It hit the line while I was at full speed and the bird made several back-flips till it hit the water. There it pretty much drowned, couldn't even save it because it would get away from me when I got close to bring it to the beach.

Had some seagulls hit my lines but they flew away unscathed.

I've had a bird hit my lines, do a somersault, and then continue on it's way.

Maybe lines need to be day glow orange so that birds, rescuers and kiters can see their lines better.
