Good Hat for Summer Days?

Postby PeterB » Sun May 24, 2015 10:51 am

Title :)

Thinking of something that doesnt look too stupid but is functional; maybe a simple trucker hat works fine?

Any ideas?

I have 2 , a brimmed round surf hat (O'neil) and just got a Dakine Surf Trucker. They both have straps that cover the ears with mesh. The brimmed hat gives sun protection around the back of your neck and is plasticised at front so it doesnt flip up as you ride.

I really like my Dakine Indo Surf hat, excellent coverage. Style is subjective, I don't think it looks too bad, but my wife thinks it looks ridiculous.

anything beyond a regular hat also requires you to wear sunglasses, a lifejacket, and have a gojoe on your board

That's great intel....... coming from a guy who can't land a simple sent jump? I'm referring to the video you posted on jumping. Been wanting to call you out on so much of your bullshit, however i have resisted. Now you are fucking with people who are trying to protect themselves from the the sun? Really?

One of these keeps the sun from burning my scalp through my thinning hair. The sides snap up, so they don't flap in the wind... Was like $15 or something. Fits better than the Dakine one I had - the straps don't dig into my ears, with the snaps it's less floppy.
