Ion electric kite pump - talk about ripping people off!

Postby Tone » Fri Jun 05, 2015 3:58 pm

So for some reason I was looking for pumps, ended up looking at electric.

Found this http://www.24-7boardsports.com/ion-e-pu ... oCJTbw_wcB

Basically, £229 for the pump. Lot of dough.

Then went onto amazon and saw this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bravo-Pump-Infl ... VSHPM0FPJG

The exact same pump for £109 + delivery.

That has to be one of the most brazen price hikes for a rebranded product. It makes the Core pump look like the best thing since sliced bread!

Just hand pump it. Its just as fast and a great warm up. I just don't find pumping to be a big deal , even with my 17m..

HAHA so funny... you comment about the GBP 229 pump but not about the GBP 29 baseball cap in the same page... even a bigger ripoff

(having said that, I paid a small fortune for an Ion B2 harness and it was worth every penny)

It sounds like ion is including a battery and the one on amazon doesnt. Still a pretty large markup consitering how cheaply you can get a battery

Here we go. Another pump crisis thread. We should just go ahead and throw Free Palestine, Gold Standard abandonment, and 21st century Monroe Doctrine relevancy into the mix.

Correct batteries run about 100 quid, so a bit less of a rip off!

Anyway pump it Tone, lazy ***!

I wasn't planning on buying an electric pump, I don't have the cash for such things.

I was just pointing out the rip off!

carry on, nothing to see here.
