Yo whats up! Fill me in on some advice real quick homies

Postby LiquidXtasy » Wed Jul 01, 2015 1:57 pm

I just bought this awesome set up, I'm looking to take my kite out this weekend. I need to know what kind of winds to take this thing out in. I'm a little nervous, I've never kited before but I am super stoked about learning. I've wake boarded before, I've flown a kite, I would say I have some natural born experience under my belt. If anyone can hit me up and give me some advice on setting up and all the procedures so I can start doin this shit. Peace homies!

First: I suggest you move in with your aunt in bel air.
Second: disconnect your internet; you'll have more time to kite!
Bel air is the key though.

Tips:

1) Be more creative. If you are going to troll, you need to keep your approach fresh. This particular method of trolling is stale.

2) Figure out a more subtle way of trolling. Perhaps find some stupid issue that divides kiters- not inflatibles vs tube kites, as that one is overdone. Perhaps write something about the current state of kite videos from a feminist perspective? Say anything positive or negative about Dimitri's or Toby's style of riding? Announce the release of your new patented board leash? Discuss the quality of kitescoop's banter, advice, and gear recommendations? There are endless topics that will provide far more entertainment than the one you chose.

3) Your screen name is decent, but you could improve. "Kooks-of-Hazard" would have been a better choice for this topic. "KiteLowOrYouBlow" would also play really well here for other more divisive topics.

Ahhhhhh, extasy and redbull. Of course I don't kno nothing about rolling yo.

Yo I know yall think this is a joke, but I am for real. The only reason I don't take lessons is because A. I don't know what kind of conditions to look for before I go out and take a lesson. B. If conditions aren't right then I don't want to waist out of my money. and C. I feel like I already have enough experience flying a kite and wakeboarding.

I was really coming on here to get some helpful advice but seeing there is nothing but a bunch of haters on here, maybe I have come to the wrong place! Nobody here is hatin nor does anyone here got time for that.

We are not hating - we are just protecting the sport from idiots like you. What happens is someone will answer your questions and feed you - you will show up at a launch spot and do stupid awkward dangerous things that will risk the launch spot getting closed and / or fees slapped on it. Well, YO, that ruins it for everyone. You really think a kite school would scoop up your $ with 0 wind? They will not schedule or start your lesson unless conditions are ideal for teaching. Secondly, the first couple hours are ground lessons and theory and all of your questions will get answered then - with no wind needed. Don't take it personal, others who come here like you did get ripped a new one.

Your best move here is to cease typing and take proper lessons.

imma gonna shoot straight wid u LiquidXtasy, here's the down low.

every day we see sum cowboys come on this forum they buy them ebay kites for $100 that are 10 years old, they think kiting is no big deal, they think they are naturally gifted athletes, then they go to the launch, the wind picks them up, they end up with a hospital bill of $1,000.

every day we see them cowboys that's why you are seeing the response you see.

What kiteboarding requires is the desire to take lessons from an actual kiteboarding instructor and most of all humility. The wind will f*ck you up when you are attached to a kite, go google yourself this phrase "kitemare" then you can see i'm not fronting.

humble yourself

peace out
