People found out that the INFINITY V3 light wind kite was going on sale.
We have only (7) of these left, so you better start swimming.

I had about 10 minutes with the kite a few weeks ago, riding a small twintip at ~10kts.
Doing side by side comparison with the Zephyr, it seems that Infinity had noticeably less power, about the same turn speed..
Also, the owner (a beginner) had the bar setup in suicide mode (de-power line ring going through the chicken loop). Is this how it gets shipped? I had to explain to the guy that this setup may get him in trouble...

Shipped in suicide mode?! Sorry but that does not make any sense. Before every session you should test the QR and when you put it back you decide whether you use the suicide mode or not - and that is independent of whether you are using an Epic or a different bar. I really like the Epic bar; the simplicity of the QR system makes it one of the quickest to reassemble. If you do not use the suicide mode you can put the QR back together in less than a second.

If you were a beginner and not 100% sure how to rig, what would you do after seeing this (main and only) picture?

I am not trolling.. just expressing a concern..
Took me awhile to convince the guy to rig differently..

Hello deniska and thank you so much for your input on the INFINITY kite. Every info helps.

May I know which generation you tried? Because the INFINITY V4 (5G) has basically the same power then the INFINITY V3 but 17% faster, better up wind, better hang time and better pop. So basically it has been improved from it's previous generation. So I am very curious to know which one you tried.

Now concerning the XTEND BAR, you have 2 options on the bar:

-1st option which has 2 systems together (Suicide mode & Kill mode). It comes set up like that so kiters won't kill their kites by mistake. All the info is on our web site.
-2nd option which has only one system which is just (Kill mode). And all you have to do is leave the ring out of the loop compare the 1st option.

The reason I decided to have the XTEND BAR set up with the 1st option out of the bag, is so people know you have the possibility to choose between killing the kite or just depowering the kite to 90%, compare to the 2nd option which will kill the kite since it has only one system.

Again it's always good to help people understanding what is best for them. Thank you for helping this beginner kiter Mr.deniska

When I was a beginner I had lessons with qualified instructors. I think it is common sense that you should only kite alone ones you have a certain level of competency. The idea that it should matter how the bar is shipped or shown on the web just doesn't make sense in MHO as this is such a common feature. However, appreciate that you are not trolling and don't want to get into an argument. Great that you took initiative and helped that dude! Would be good if more people would act as sensible as you did here.

Cheers, Evisu

Hello Mr.Deniska.
Once again thank you for all your input and also for trying to help the beginner kiter.
The link you posted about the XTEND BAR 4G is wrong. This is the correct one in case you want to check it out.
