Or do you just say

"f*** this shit o'clock" and go and do whatever else tickles your dander?

With our shitty conditions, I just consider it kiting. I participate in other sports as well. Hunting- but that has its seasons. BASE jumping, but that's getting harder and harder to do with higher security, and dumb shits burning objects. Plus, that's a night affair. I used to skydive, but that's too expensive these days. MTB sucks in florida- no mountains.

Don't do any others sports and enjoy every strength of wind
Just happens that it is mostly light over here for 6 months out of the year
So i adapt and get the most workout out of it every time i go out
Strange to some but pumping a 19 three times a week is no big deal & 8-9-10kn is enough
Quite a treat when pumping a smaller 17 once or twice a week if better half wants to ride the 12

Right now I can't be bothered, I have many other options. But peeps tell me foiling is great fun with 8-9kn, so that might be a ticket for the future.

i can do many other sports and other "hobbies" but choose to kite no matter what......everything else drops by the wayside..........if we see so much as 6kts in the forcast we are checkin it out. any glimmer of hope sends us to the beach.......sometimes waiting for 2 plus hours to get an amazing 1hour of riding.....but if you werent there to begin with you didnt get it...........lifes short.....do what you want to!!!

.....my favourite thing is when some of the guys say fu... this sh... and then leave .......because sure as sh.... it starts to blow 15kts. Sometimes we ask people to leave on purpose just to fool mother nature in giving us some wind.

@ 220+lbs, lightwind kiting blows dead donkeys. Rather be on my mountain or road bike.

Sounds a lot like a Long Point Beach day in the spring while its doming... I'm with ya.

If it's been a week or two I will start chasing with my LW gear, if it's not been a week or two I'll either be mountain biking, running, or putting in more hours at work so when its windy I can take the day off.

Distance swimming, paragliding, lifting, mowing the lawn. And all the other crap I blow off when it gets windy.
