John B is a very nice guy with a very long history in the sport - incredibly knowledgeable. For the last (probably?) 10 years or so he's worked as the right hand man to Dave Nunn at Windance, Ocean Rodeo's premier outlet in the Gorge.

John asked us permission to mock the Mako and we said yes as his boards are hand made and ride completely differently from ours. They are - none the less - gorgeous boards, especially his directionals he makes.

Honestly, beyond the look and the concave the two boards are totally different rides and I am not sure he even makes the Mako Fake-o anymore - would have to ask him. His version is very buoyant as it is a ribbed construction with rather thick rails whereas our board is much thinner with mini tucked rails.

This is an old thread but I can't find anything on Bellacera other than Windance sells them. Anyone out there have contact info?

Call or email windance or maybe look for John via nwkite.com, a local PNW forum he has used in the past.
