Need advise on kite with very low bar pressure.

Hello everybody

Have been struggling with intersection syndrome in my underarms for 7 months now. Sold my switchblade 12 m 2015. I like the quality's of that kite, but im looking for another brand/model that can offer very low bar pressure. Grateful for any advise
This are my priority's, with the most important first.

1. Free-ride/crossover kite
2. Light bar pressure
3. Good for jumping, especially vertical lift.
4. Upwind ability
5. Quality/price

A friend of mine had a bad neck/shoulder and bar pressure was his primary concern. He had Parks and liked them pretty well then switched to Maui Cloud's.

FWIW, I rode the Park and thought it was absolute crap. Poor handling, lousy pull, and no feel. I also rode a Cloud and it had some pretty decent qualities. Not enough to make me buy one, but it wasn't bad at all. Of course YMMV.

I guess poor handling and lousy feeling is a needed compromise with light bar pressure, or am I wrong?

Was your friend happy with the Maui clouds?

You might want to fly a Core. They have very light bar pressure, are responsive and well built.

I would be cautious of the BRM Cloud because bar pressure can get moderate when they are loaded up.

My recommendation would be an Ocean Rodeo Flite 10 meter. For my big kite I switched from a SS Turbine to a 17m Flite specifically because of the lighter bar pressure of the Flite. I have elbow problems and bar pressure makes it worse. I've boosted huge on a Flite 10 and I freeride.

I have Core XR2 Lw 17, xr3 12 and Slingshot rally 8 2012. All have light bar pressure and are responsive a massive depower and have fantastic range. Had elbow problems before I switched to these. No problem now.

Try the new Cabrinha FX...same materials and construction of your 2015 Cabrinha SB. FX is faster with less bar pressure.

If ultra light bar pressure is what you really need, then consider foils like the speed 3 and HQ Matrixx. I flew my 9m Matrixx the other day after months on flexi and rrd's which I consider to be medium bar pressure, and couldn't believe how light it was. Took me a good while to get used to again.
But, when I did fly them regularly I always knew where the kite was.

Look at the CORE XR4. Find a local dealer who will let you demo one and give it a go if you can.

+1 for foilkites. Sonic FR that I tested has no bar pressure at all, it's borderline bizar!
