Topmick, I don't understand why you have the splitter, you could go full BRM-style with a simple ss ring and have an even cleaner, lighter setup above the bar.
Do you have or can you direct me to a picture of this setup please Alford ?

I think he's pointing out that your flag line doesn't appear to be connected to your bottom release. I may be mistaken, but if you're going to do the BRM thing you should have your front flag line attached to the bottom release. You push to pop the top release which flags the kite to the single front line. Then, if that doesn't work you pull the bottom release to eject the whole thing.

Here's how the connections go. This will give you an integrated leash. Push the first ball and the kite flags to one front line. Pull the second and you have complete detachment from kite.
It's from the "chicken loop bye-bye" thread, page 30 something. The ss ring would take the place of you Ozone splitter. I've tried without the ring too, works but if you let go of the bar it's way out of reach.

It's a brilliant design from BRM, but obviously no swivel and no trim function.

Got my ring on order. Am going to trim the chicken loop, loop down to be a snug fit on the ring.

Oh ok, thanks for that - my pic must not show it but my setup works same as BRM.
Push the green release & flags to one front.
Pull red release & you are completely disconnected from kite.
I'm not sure if there's any benefit from changing to the ring but I'll def give it some thought.
