Let's see
Toby,
You should organise a Kiteforum king of the air. Get some goodies for people to win. Everyone enters a video showing their 3 best jumps + Woo height.
You pick some judges, (Dimitry?!) that give 50% of the score, the other 50% of the score comes from the kiteforum community.

that's a great idea but two things
1) better be a prize. so you need a sponsor
2) no recycling old videos they have to be made after the announcement of the contest

SURF 8 & 12 for the waves. RENEGADE 6.5 and 9 for all around kiting. And some times I use my son's JUNIOR PRO 4 when it blows 45+ for the waves.
Just try the EPICKITES and you will see for yourself.

No boardoff
RedBull is looking for an extreme event, boardoffs aren't extreme or risky.
Megaloops are extreme and adding diversity to megaloops increases the risk/skill level a lot. That's why hadlow won, megaloop + mid air unhook to handle pass, that's some serious stuff. It requires so much skill, balls and above all it just looks awesome.
I like Tom Heberts style as much as anybody on this forum but it's not what RedBull is looking for in this contest, height and extremity are what counts.
What about
BOARD OFF / MEGALOOP.
This counts as extra credit.

I have done it few times. Almost broke my toes on one of the landings. It's a very tricky and powerful move which means no mistakes or else you are done for a while.
Next thing will be to video it for my next movie. But first I need to heal my injured knee.

Hi Gilion,
What device are you using to measure your jumps?
Cheers
