What I don't understand that they don't offer an adapter for other cameras yet...my camera is much better...dont mind the non zooming...will keep filming with my Soloshot2...
Toby, which Sony camera do you use?
Sony FDR-AX53

Ive had battery and download issues plus theres no wind now so hopefully ill get to use mine soon. Your guys footage looks fine. The one guy seems to be to the right side of the frame all the time. Is that from not walking back and forth before your session to get it to track right ?

Toby, have you tested the Soloshot 3? are you saying that at the moment you are getting better results with Soloshot 2 and your camera?

They improved many things a lot. From arm band, to remote on/off of tag and camera, calibration. Really nice the SS3.

If the video results were just like with my Sony camera, the SS3 plus camera are a perfect filming tool. Like a cameraman. Just perfect.

But...the camera has too much shaking...the stabilisation is not like my Sony cam (which has steady shot...and it works amazingly even in 35 knots of gusts).
Plus, the Optic65 gets out of focus many times. I will run one more test with a wider frame setting and me in the center. Plus more wind protected etc.
Let's see how this goes. Maybe I can eliminate the problems with it.
But for sure I will keep my SS2 with my Sony cam running in addition...hate to miss tricks because of bad footage and I have to do my tricks again and again when I landed them perfectly before.

Took me now 3 days to get 10 clips from my last session of my SS3...with anti shaking software etc...and still not that good...need only 5 hours for 50 clips with my Sony...

this is what we got out of it...pretty good considering the big shaking before...which was not usable.

Adobe Premiere made this one possible.

But too much work if I have a session with 50 clips...

Soloshot comes with a tripod? It doesn't have a level built in so footage is leveled?

So image stabilization isn't going to be one of the bug fixes ? The footage I took today was hardly savable. The camera kept losing the tag too !. When I am in it,Im in the right side of the frame all the time

Walking back and forth in front of the camera is important. Then you should be centered.

Tripod is extra. You need one. Advised to buy a really heavy duty one. And you need an adapter...soloshot needs a thicker screw than standard cams. But easily on Amazon.

I did all the walking back and forth. Some of the footage I took was good but a lot of it was completely out of frame and shaky
