madworld, it would help if you could provide a brief summary of what the problem is!

We have western style casual lawn parking with grass for multiple recreational use.

The redesign takes away 50 percent of the grass and replaces it with pavement and pushes parking farther away from the beach.

The money is meant for maintenance and has to be spent this year.

The current design is a result of a full EIR specifically taking into account the needs of kite-boarders and windsurfers.

Now they are trying to rush through a half baked redesign without a full EIR.

Well I can tell you.

There is a strong current and the wind sucks close to the beach, you need to sail far away from land and if something happens, you need to be rescued.
Not just kite-boarders, a coast guard station right there with a 47 foot motor life saving boat that can take a roll in the surf.
