Casual body surfing in Greece

Postby vjanda » Mon May 16, 2016 3:51 pm

Hi all,
I'm off to Greece for 3 weeks.
Would like a non inflatable power kite for some fun in the sea, nothing too powerful as I don't have a harness.
Haven't flown power kites for some 10 years so I don't know what the models I should be looking at?
I used to fly Flexifoils (power 10 and blade 3.3) which I was happy with, and I see they still make kites.
Any advice on models would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Hmm, some kite fun without harness? It is a bit same than to go to the Alps and ask for good skis but not to have ski boots...

Without harness it doesn't matter which kite it is but it must be a small one. It is very tiring to be all the time unhooked. You don't have any depower either.

Seriously, go get harness and some about 10m FS kite, if you must have non inflatable. Unity, Pulse2, Psycho3-4 or even Speed3-4-5. They are all much better, safer and easier kites than old flexifoils.

I forgot to mention I also want my 10 year old to be able to fly it on the beach without landing in Turkey :)
Budget up to 150 quid.
Is the Peter Lynn Hype 1.9m ok?

I can get a new sting 3.3 with a big buzz foc for 150...
They're not that bad are they?

Pansh Adam is a good choice if you don't care about depower and it's water relaunchable and has very small sizes. The Pansh A15 is a great depower foil kite but the smallest is 9m unless you ask for a custom size. I would use handles if you don't use a harness. http://www.panshkite.com/ They have 50% off at checkout currently.
