I've seen the local shop flying the 16 a couple times. We have lovingly named it "a pollo".

Looks be to high aspect and 4 strut. Doesn't look particularly lightweight, but that's just an amateur observation. I've heard it been described as being very good with a foil because it flies towards the edge of the wind window.

For me it looks like a better kite than Velocity for racing.
Much higher AR. The weight the same. One block more on the bridle. Main tube slightly thinner than Velocity's one.
My kites are:
14m - 4010gr
10m - 3280gr
7m - 2580gr

Apollo 14 vs Velocity 14 (2015):
- main tube - max diameter 2cm smaller - 26cm vs 28cm
- at the center strut Apollo is around 15cm narrower,
- three attach positions for a steering line ABC vs two AB,
- the same strut's thickness,
- the rest in the pictures:

There are new protectors for one-pump system. Looks good.
Bridle lines going through pulleys are made of stronger and stiffer lines.
I like graphics.

Riding - so far so good. I don't afraid to say - I love it :)
One more thing - once Apollo is in the air it looks soooooo slim! I think it the highest AR inflatable on the market ever?

Interesting. Is it agile? I was thinking of replacing an older slow moving xbow with the new agile contra for lightwinds, but maybe this would be the better option?

Stoked that you effectively launched the Apollo kite a month early. Congrats Bracuru, you are a true insider!

I just weighed my 2010-11 Crossbows and the Apollo is barely 400 grams lighter. That's a little, or a lot depending on your point of view.

It sounds like the Apollo is intended to be a full on race kite. I am in the market for a new quiver of kites to replace my Crossbows, mainly to use with my foilboard. At the extreme light wind range of a foilboard the most critical factor is good handling and the ability to keep it in the air during lulls. If the Crossbows get stuck at the edge of the window then they can settle onto the water. Do you think the Apollo would be good as a foiling kite for the lighter end of the wind range?

All the info and prices seems to be on Adventure Kiteboarding website minus a photo.

Seems some just can't keep their zippers zipped. Oh well. At least my velocity inventory value just went down.
