With relaunchability and performance being conflicting goals, why nobody manufatured batman shaped kite?

I'm not certain what epikoo batwing design goal was. Having more canopy where it matters the least (on wings)? If it is not clear yet from my proposal, long center strut should make it very easy to flip during water relaunch. The aspect ratio of the kite is very high, otherwise.

"Design goal" is a bit of an euphemism. Back in the day they said, they had a full kite, took a pair of scissors to cut out the middle section to see what happens, it flew, and they built it. Must be here on KF. Pretty gutless if I remember right.

OP design is an interesting challenge for bridle design: steering with 4 lines to the end of the kite would not work well, as this long stick in the middle has leverage to change AoA at a point where a 4 line bridle does not act. Maybe some very rigid stick, and a 5th and 6th line to front and rear of the stick.
