Although I canot comment on the Carved I would add that you are comparing boards designed with different uses in mind. The Nomad wave TT is more aimed towards wave riding than would be the Carved. There are not much options on the market for wave TT’s, way more options for freeride boards.I own the imperator iv. I also owned the nomad ultra wave. These are both different boards
For shure you must know what you want when you order a custom made board, like surfing or windsurfing, and you canot xpect one board to do it all. I know im the chap with 3 Nomad boards, 3 different sizes that I share with my Wife, decisions I applaude on each different trip. Gear for Cuba is different than for Brasil, riding 6-7m or 14-17m sails. Mine are built with 2 set of pad inserts and I use them both depending of location. Use std Simon distance and a bit shorter.
No doubt, a carbon board is a luxury and will not make you a better rider, it is to be enjoyed however if you choose the expense. This said my wife commented that she progressed faster in wave riding after mooving from her Poison to a Nomad wave TT, perhaps more the shape and flex than the carbon. For those budget tight Nomad has a lower tech less expensive series.
Cheers !
