Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the 2015 and 2016 Mako Duke.
If there is any - or are they the same board?
Some places selling as 2015 others 2016. They look the same and specs are the same.

I think the board is the same, seems to be a few variations on the fins supplied though.
Brilliant board by the way

Yes looks like no changes. I was hoping for a pointed nose but perhaps folks want the ability to walk out on it and perform spin tricks etc. Been riding it for a year now, cant let go of the upwind ability over poly surfboards.

Why do you want a pointed nose? I see little point of a pointy nose for kitesurfing.

Not sure what you mean - Do you think one has a 5 fin option and the other a 3 fin option?
Can't see that in any of the images I've seen of the 2015 or 2016 Dukes.
Both look the same - with different coloured fins.
Are you saying that's what Ocean Rodeo should do?
They did try all the fin options they could think of when they were developing this board.

Speaking of fins - has anyone switched the stock fins, and if so, what did you switch to? I've broken a couple and thought about upgrading.
With regard to changes to the board, it's perfect the way it is, if they want to add a a more tucked in nose for steeper waves that might be a thought.
Five fin option - a quad I'm not sure how well that would work with the concave.

I picked up an old Duke V1 that had no fins and bought some UPSURF Tri Future Fins L Size G7. Future boxes come in 1/2" deep (for center fin = double foiled) or 3/4" (for side fin = flat/foiled). Well, Ocean Rodeo put only 1/2" deep boxes for all 3, which is not the standard. So I cut 1/4" off the bottom/tab of side fins and would like to glue the glass side fins into the plastic futures boxes. What glue/epoxy do you think would work best, or are there other suggestions (besides the obvious...buy 2 new side fins for the 1/2" box)
J-B Weld MarineWeld two-part adhesive system that provides strong, lasting repairs for bonding different or similar surfaces, such as metal, SMC fiberglass and others. At room temperature, MarineWeld sets in 5 minutes and will be white at full cure. It may then be tapped, filed, sanded and drilled, retaining full strength above or below the water's surface. Tensile strength of 2350 PSI for a strong, permanent bond, product is waterproof, UV resistant and has 55% elongation.
