Here in South Florida we get an estimated 250 kiteable days a year (>8kts).
I am curious about your opinions what are the best cities to live for kiteboarding year round:
- no need for a drysuit
- good quality of life
- anywhere in the world (except for west coast US/Vancouver, done that already)

Okay, my friend, I've had this discussion before. It's always hard for me to believe that any place in Florida gets 250 "kiteable" days. Maybe I'm just a wind snob, but Central Florida (Cocoa Beach, Titusville, etc. or Gulf Coast - Ft. DeSoto, Skyway, etc.) does not get that many days. I guess if 8 kts is "kiteable", then maybe....... Not sure I agree with that premise.
I spend half the year in Florida and half the year on Hatteras Island. I'd take Hatteras any day, year round. Kiting is better, but more importantly, life is better. I've been in Florida since 1993........get me outa' here!!!

We also get about 250 days a year as Taipei kiteboarders, with many of us having 9m as our biggest kites.

I'm in south florida on the gulf coast...we haven't had a real kiting day in 5-6 weeks. Last week I had to drive 2 miles downwind to grab a foiler who called it quits.
This is my first kiting summer, quick way to end the honeymoon period. I'm back running the beach and swimming again to drop a few lbs. Looking forward to some wind please lord.
Here's our Friday:

That's it, lovethepirk. That's what my Florida summers are like. Sometimes a 30 mph straight line wind accompanied by a kazzilion lightning strikes, but usually, it's just like that wind chart.

Being based in Palm Beach, I have had plenty of fun the last 3 months, every other day we get 9-10kts, which is great for foiling.

Yep same in boca raton, I moved back to FL june 1st and I've had 45 sessions so far. 4 sessions on a twintip, the rest on the foil.

Move to the east coast, we get a seabreeze most days. Not really enough to ride anything other than a foil because of the current unfortunately, but at least you can ride something while waiting for fall. I went from hating FL to moving to the gorge, to coming back with a foil and enjoying it here (at least for kiting, florida still sucks in every other aspect)
