Got to test my revl arc out yesterday. Heres a quick test edit. I'm super happy with the work flow. Battery lasted 50 minutes from more or less full charge. Look forward to messing around with it some more. A remote would make me even happier.
Bit OT but is that a Kink and what wing are you using?

When do you expect the Quark to be shipped? Or has anybody already got an item? I am too curious on real world footage. Please post yours, if you already have one or seen footage. Thanks!
Just got shipping notification on my Quark pre-order. I was #135 on the list which is pretty early so not sure how long others will have to wait.

Here is maybe another approach for those who are still interested in a Gopro product: https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Me ... pm-p/47113
Check out the first Clip, should also work fine for kite Rotation...

BTW: Did you see this Rylo product?: https://www.rylo.com/
Thanks to this post, instead of going for Revl or Quark, I ordered the Rylo...
Stabilisation is insane!

Here I was holding it in my hand, on the bar...

In the linemount, considering getting a UGo

Only drawbacks: the case, with its drops and condensation...

@kamikuza

Axis Kink yes indeed with white, carbon freeride wing and alu mast and fuse. A wonderful combination.

Looks like a bigger wing :o

How does the tiny board go when you're chasing the bottom end in light wind?

I've not really chased bottom end with it yet. Mainly 7m weather. Normally straight onto the foil. 10knots up has been no probs. We''ll see

So is this thing dead or what? After reading the "lost Revl in Capetown" thread I went onto Facebook to see if they are still pushing this camera and/or making improvements. Well.......their FB page is pretty much a graveyard of old info and pissed customers going off about unfulfilled orders, no Android support, shit battery life, no customer service and overall poor user experience. It's brutal.
Reason #509 I'm done throwing money at startups....

Did anyone here actually get a Revl and use it kiting?

I did get the GP Hero 7 and have been overall pleased by the electronic stabilization, picture quality and better audio. However it's still a GoPro.....buggy AF, eats batteries and not quite the perfect action cam for kiting/biking. (close)
New Rylo is due out this fall, may have to give that a go.

looks like they bailed to the industry market with their revlx product. looks like theyre scrambling for a plan b when the consumer market rejected their crappy camera. its amazing to me that the one thing it was supposed to do - stay level, it still doesn't do that! If you look at their videos, even the recent revlx ones, the horizon is never level. so whats the point of the damn camera in the first place?!? the founder sure jets around the world kiting with sir richard and playing with expansive cars but can't ship a product that actually says what its supposed to do. my buddy commented that their video has dutch tilt in all videos which is a sign that they don't know how to actually use their sensors to keep the camera level. he laughed and said they must be total idiots since the solution to most of the problem he's seen in their product are in textbooks and easily googled for the fix. LOL
something else i noticed .............. the data in their videos never matches up with the video. WTF? look at the speed and angles data its always out of sync wit the video. what a pos that camera is. they also teased a trace/xenser/woo puck looking sensor product but more vaporware from them.
now it seems the founder eric is busy using the company to pay for his skydiving and super card driving exploits. what a scammer.
