Haha, yeah maybe he's gone to the eternal foiling grounds... you know, a kiters paradise with 8kn of wind.

foilholio can ride in 3knts so 8 is like nukin conditins. a paradise indeed. lol

I've seen that law, but never heard of anybody trying to enforce it for kiters. There are plenty of kite spots that are well within 5 miles of an airport. I tend to think that "moored" is the operative word that lets us off the hook.

Do us a favor and deep six this post. This ancient FAR has caused problems for the sport even in recent times. It is out of date but good luck in getting it fixed. In the meantime, it would be best to not draw attention to its existence with posts like this.
