Naish Slash strapped and strapless sessions

Postby haiku » Sun Nov 27, 2016 9:58 pm

Hi. In this short video I show you the new Naish Slash in action during my first sessions in Kanaha, Maui. The drifting ability is outstanding, this kite is pretty fast in the flight window; I love the bar feeling too, this kite can be powered on and off in a blink of an eye. In the same sizes, It is only a little bit less powerful than the Pivot but being faster I can create more apparent wind, achieving the same low end. Backstalling? No way It flies even with all the lines totally slacked. So IMHO this is one of the best wave kite on the market.

Hi. I'm riding the Naish Global 5'8 2017 (my weight is 75 Kilos); strapped is one of the best board I've ever ridden. Strapless is great for both wave riding and basic to intermediate freestyle tricks. WIth the Naish Slash is a perfect wave combo.

Hi fellow,
do you have any experience in North Neo? I have a Pivot 10m now, and I am thinking in get a Neo 10m or a Slash 10m too. How about bar pressure of them and the tight turn ability , driffting..
I would love to ride a demo but we do not have ver here.
Cheers!

Hi. I also tried the North Neo 10 which is in the same sizes more powerful and a little bit softer in the air; the bar pressure is similar for both kites. I've found the Naish Slash very sharp and faster in the flight window whilst the North Neo, if you work the kite a lot, has a more progressive attitude. Obviously they have a great drifting capability even with the lines totally slacked. For my riding style (mixed, strapped and strapless) I prefer the Slash but I also like the Neo very much. Compared to the Pivot the Slash is a pure wave machine, but It still maintains the typical Naish kite "feeling" :thumb: .

Yep, looks pretty Naish. Especially the way the canopy luffs and goes all slack when he launches, even after it's up in the window, and the way it tip stalls and pivots when he pulls the bar hard. :P
