The email says:
The Frequent Flyer Mount is an optional extra layer of protection for your WOO. Perfect for
riders that don't want to think about cleaning salt water off their WOO between sessions, the
mount attaches to your board with an adhesive sticker and clips around the WOO to form an extra
waterproof seal.
Note how they shift the blame of failing units from them (corrosion) to us (not cleaning the Woo correctly) ... now I always washed my with clean water and it still corroded. But regardless of my tale of woe, they assume that the user is supposed to know that an item designed for use in the sea is not protected against salt. Ho hum.

Did they forgot to isolating circuit? Idk but throwing it in a box is not a bad plan anyway.
Although I love my GoPro session a lot for not needing that....

they want $30-40 for a plastic box? Do they know that you can buy a cheap tablet computer for this kind of money?

Seriously, $1 roll of electric tape will do just fine. just cover the brass connectors with a small piece of tape...

Hmmm,
they are not brass but GOLD plated. And the corrosion is not off salt water, but USB charger (I think, but not 100% sure).
$30-40 is not bad at all considering $10-15 for a mount.

They are going to make margin selling the case. They are not giving it away. Really, only way to solve the problem is to keep the water off the contacts. Only way to do that and be backwards compatible is a case for the unit. Check out the Piq or the Trace.
