Why people are so shy speaking up whenever they see nonsence?
Here is another nominee: give it enough time and they would follow the Gillette path!

Shorties over neopren
Ha haa, precisely, by far the most stupid and pointless innovation yes

The fish tail remnant. Admittedly, this is not innovation, but just board designers being half-hearted in their attempt to admit that fish style board tail achieves nothing. And here we have nice little brother of LF Rocket, which could have been 1 inch shorter while having the same planning surface without this silly V cut at the tail. Long live picklefork!

Double concave on a foil board. Recent exhibit -- Liquid Force Galaxy -- arguably, the finest board out there. However, why double concave and, most importantly, why this double concave ridge spans the entire length of the board, so that it is clearly visible under the plate mount rails? How did the trivial idea of having flat surface for plate mount escape the board designer?
For the record, I ditched plastic transition plate, and shortened the mounting bolts of my LF Rocket Foil; it is not needed for boards with flat plate mount area.
