Well, I do try to early adopt a lot of left field type of gear.
Had the Ultra for almost two months now and it's just been a really windy season, so no complaints. Hopefully can test it out this week - low winds in the next few days.
@slowboat Clouds - 30m lines for really low winds, but been slowly progressing to 25m and a slightly more surface area board. The board makes a massive difference in that low of wind. I've been throwing ideas and working owith Enrico at Temavento to craft a 150cm 6lb light wind foilboard. This bigger board vs. my Alien Air gives you a massive 2, maybe even 3 knots extra low end. Additionally, the jibes become much easier with a bit more volume, as you may guess.

Wind got low today and I was out on the new 13.4 Cloud D. 5-6 knots!! The kite was so amazing I didn't even bother testing the Ultra yet. The Cloud is lighter than the Ultra by almost two and a half pounds at 4.7lbs. (7.0lbs for the Ultra). Starting to think that the Cloud will be better than Ultra...

Dude, what the hell? This was still on the first page you don't need to be an idiot and bump an already active thread up 10 lines or whatever.

Comparing to BRM Cloud 17m, OR Flite 17m, Flysurfer Lotus, NOrth Mono 15m, Concept Air Pulsion 12m, Contra 15m and Epic Infinity 16m. This may be the kite I was looking for. Looks like enough power in 7, maybe 6 miles for a hydrofoil. Will be testing more this weekend.
Sorry I missed this message ... great to have such comparison by the same tester ! In your opinion, which kite among this list will offer the best lower end to stay in the air , and the lowest end to ride and stay upwind on a HF ?

Probably the 12m Pulsion then Cloud. Definitely not the Ultra. If you want light wind straight line riding/racing/boston on foil, then Pulsion. Anything not in straight line (and more fun) - Cloud.

Just had what I think was the lowest wind session this year. Rephrasing the above post. Pulsion, the super light foil kite I've been raving this winter, is going into the basement. Cloud D 13.4 eats it for dinner in low wind. They even weigh the same, except the Cloud has a leading edge.
Sorry @Regis, I like the Cloud D's better. WIll seriously test the Ultra 15m vs. the Cloud soon, but pretty sure the Cloud will take the cake there too.

I want to know if the Ultra will relaunch in deep water in 6 to 8 knots. also what's the low end and top end for the Ultra. Many wave and normal 3 strut kites can work with hydrofoil in the 7-8 knots range already especially on long lines but few can relaunch in deep water effectively. You drop the cloud D in deep water light wind it's game over and you're swimming Doesn't matter how experienced you are (been there and done that)

Yep, relaunching and boosting are the main reasons I got the Ultra. Really hope it proves itself.
