I'm so tired of stopping riding releasing power just to trim my kite. I can never get enough mechanical advantage to trim below the bar while riding.
Before you tell me to buy a SS sentinel.....
The upgrade kits are hard to find, and there is zero possibility of me throwing away $700aud for a bar when I have about 6 or 7 in a box in my garage.
Has anybody done a conversion of 2013-2015 compsticks, and converted them to above bar trim???
I'd be super interested to see how you made it and rigged her up.
I'm positive I can do it from the QR stud, to jam cleat.
But most above bar systems have a dual line, not just singular, and I'm a bit stumped on inspiration on how to creat it.
Help a brother out?

*facepalm***
Dude!!
As mentioned above.....
Can't get the upgrade kits in my part of the world.... Sold out as with all 20" sentinels.
SS official website won't send as we have a local distribute.
I looked into it the upgrade kits.
$300aud ..... $300x3 = $900
Tell him his dreaming!!!
I'm not interested in spending stupid amounts of money ..... Just wondering if anybody has converted their below bar compsticks with a custom trim set-up to above bar.
Coulda sworn I read a dude had done it a while ago???

Fair enough, I've got stuff from those guys a while ago when the exchange rate was better. I like the below bar depower on the slingy's anyway, each to their own.

I took a QR, a chicken loop line and a cleat from Switch. Should be ~$66 aud in total. If you decide to use your Slngshot QR it's less than $25.

I wouldn't use the Switch cleat its way too heavy.
Have you considered loosing the cleat & increasing the throw on your bar instead. ?
Found this, hope it helps.

This will tell you how to do it - it's a Smartbar but the same process but simpler for you because your line lengths will be the right length to start with (my other bars are Compstick Sentinels).

I love the trim below the bar and it's no problem to trim while riding.
BUT: it's important to pull towards your body, almost parallel to the Depowerline. If you pull even in an small angle to the side, it's almost impossible to trim while riding. AND: make sure that your depower is always pulled about 1 or 2 cm, so you can grab it better.
Try it, maybe that's a way to go.

Couldn't you just buy a new mainline (4mm spectra or whatever) and a cleat and put it together? Don't even need to splice line or anything if you don't want, just tie some stopper knots on the ends.
