Depends on your level of riding. Tiki Beach near Las Olas is for advanced riders since you need to stay out of the swim zone. 16th st Pompano (not Fort Lauderdale but close) is more open but if you're a beginner and kooking out the locals will not be happy with you. But you can get lessons there from a couple of the local guys and then you'll be dialed in on the local scene as well afterwords.

We have had a LOT of heat over the years at Tiki Beach and threatened loss of access to kite there. You would do better at NE 16 St. in Pompano in so many ways. I ride there myself, it is scenic, a bit calmer in some winds. A lot of the trouble at Tiki has been from visitors just rigging up and riding inside the out of bounds swim zone there. If you can't vector out through the narrow launch corridor, have to come in for whatever reason outside this area, you end up in the out of bounds area. The rules for both launch areas appear at

Stop by the shop, Adventure Sports in Ft. Lauderdale. Plenty of foilers there, and I'm sure that you can find someone to ride with. It's a very crowded beach, so as long as you launch and get outside quickly, everyone will have a blast. It is quite choppy there, but you can get some long rides down the swells on the far outside. Enjoy!

Try

Fort Lauderdale, FL
Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd is also known as A1A
Be safe at Tiki beach so we keep our spot open.

Dania Beach might be easier. North of the Pier. You have a lot more room. Or Pompano
