Kiting ban in Saudi Arabia

Postby Fanson » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:43 am

Just sharing for fun and frustration. For the last few months our kiting community in the Eastern Province has been banned from kiting for no apparent reason. We are 100 strong but can't seem to get the local authorities to understand our sport. Enjoy your local spots.

 religion is the torch that tries to burn down all sense and reason with the flames of infantilism and idiocy.

1. It should not distract one from remembering Allah and praying
2. It should not distract one from doing some essential duty
3. It should not involve extravagance, because that is blameworthy
4. It should not involve any haraam betting between competitors.
5. In the case of kites in particular, they should not be in the shape of animate beings or animals or birds, unless the one who is playing with it is a small child, because there is a concession for small children that is not made in the case of adults.
1. YES
2. Definitely YES
Rest. Not so much

This is rather about normal kites, not kitesurfing kites.

But even then, it's no problem they say.

So, why?

You dont let Jews into your country, and you behead people, i think not allowing you to kite is the least of your issues.
