After the Germany leg of the WKL World Cup 2017 was cancelled by
the German Event-Organizer and the WKL because of irreconcilable
disputes between the two parties, the GKA decided at its last AGM in
Tarifa (29./30.6.) to “rescue” the most important kite event in the
world by running a GKA Kite-Surf World Tour stop in
Fehmarn/Germany in its place.

The decision was made because of the fact that it is of utmost
importance for the kite-sport world to guarantee the ongoing success
and sustainability of the World Cup in Fehmarn, which takes place in
the home of the biggest kite-sport-consumer market.

The World Cup Germany provides a comprehensive and attractive
support program both on and off the water, including a 'Testival' for
consumers to try the newest kite and board models of various brands.

The next tour-stops of the GKA Kite-Surf World Tour 2017 are:

Dakhla / Morocco: 18.7. – 23.7
Sotavento / Fuerteventura: 31.7. – 05.8.
Fehmarn / Germany: 18.8. – 27.8
Le Morne / Mauritius: 06.9. – 16.9.
