No green.............. Wasn't keen on the 2017 graphics when they were released so I grabbed a bunch of new '16 gear for a steal. Looks like i'll be using it for another year.
Best years for graphics were 2013, 2016, the reds were nice in 15.

In past years, August 1st is the date that the Cab website and full details were available. Also in past years, product was available in stores around September 1st. Hopefully this year it will be sooner than that.

Silly how kite companies more and more becoming like car companies. One would think the 2018 stuff would come out on January 1st. But nope, we want it in the middle of 2017. Isn’t it technically 2107 stuff then? I mean it was built in 2017, sold in 2017, used in 2017...
Better yet, how about reconsidering how to label a model year. “Annual Product Release” sounds about right. I know, I know, dead horse topic, I get it.
Not bashing Cab, it isn’t just them. OK, back to scheduled programming

Just tried Switchblade 12 and FX 10,12 at Kitty Hawk in OBX, very nice kites and bar. Was mostly on low end but still happy to have tried these.
That bar swivel is amazing, QR is easy to reset too.
New graphics are nice, didn't really like previous years.
I tried briefly the switchblade 2015, all I can say is that I like the 2018 a lot better. Really good all rounder, pretty fast for a 12m, felt pretty direct. I think bar pressure is a lot lighter than 2015 but since I wasn't very powered I might be wrong.
From what I understand the switchblade was redesigned in 2016 but haven't tested 2016, nor 2017 so can't tell how it compares with 2018.
Did some beginner unhook frontroll and such on FX 10, felt pretty good. Also did some pussy loop the 10 in low power and worked out pretty well.
I like the feel of the FX as it sends you up fast but it's going to be hard to pull board off on that kite, you drop fast.
Switchblade has much better hangtime but you don't get that fun yank up.

Just tried Switchblade 12 blah blah blah
You had some fun? Good for you. Now, please put it on the scale, and tell us how much it weights. Next, lay the kite on the ground above last year model and tell us if there is any difference in the overall shape.

Like I said I can compare only with 2015, very likely it's almost same as 2016 and 2017 from what I understand.
If I were to buy one I would probably go and try 2016 to save cash but that's me.
Anyway, I am sure KiteFinder.com will make the review you want when they get a chance, weight, laying kite over each other and measuring bridle and such.

Yes, kitefinder folks established a new golden gear review standard which others should strive to.

I was hoping the fx would have had more hangtime this year, I guess not?
