Me- 75 kg, Style – Freeride/wave
Conditions – gusty 20 – 31 knots 70% depowered riding TT, bar set at 45 cm.
Kite & bar “out of the bag”:-
Kite – feels lighter, LE thinner, different panel layout, no battens, new SUP valve, 3 pullies per side instead of 2. New colours - strawberry & lime (ice cream time!!!)
Bar – 52 -45 cm variable width, cam shaped bar (comfortable on hands), single line flag out
Performance considering the gusty conditions – points higher upwind, smoother jumps when pulling in the bar, longer hang time, solid direct feel doesn’t flap when transitioning, very quick turns (mid setting).
Overall – lighter more nimble feel, less pumping time. A slim Bandit with altitude!!! Can’t wait to try my 12m and the 9m in steadier winds.

Ianw, had any more time on the 9m? It sounds like it more aggressive like the B8 was?

Unfortunately not I hope my 12m review helped
viewtopic.php?t=2397813&p=992550. As I said the bar pressure felt higher with the 12m than the 9m which gave it that aggressive yet controlled feel. Boosting is so much smoother & hang time longer with the B11's than B8's (still recovering from altitude sickness from the 12m sessions!!!). I hope to have a less gusty session with my 9m soon & will give a write up.

Thanks, i note you also had the 9 more depowered, maybe that's why less bar pressure than 12. I like the hangtime of my 12m B10, but struggle to get proper height on it. The 9 boosts much better, but i really like the agressive little 7m B8. Such a lively kite with massuve boost and precision steering. Looking for that in a bigger kite.

I love the B8 10m for boosting, the 12m B7 i have wasn't so great but still very nice hangtime. I don't think they are the Bandit are the best for boosting, though some local do boost off kicker on the 7m and 8m pretty high 10m to 15m consistently on big days.

Interesting review
https://www.iksurfmag.com/reviews/kites ... t-7m-2018/ I can certainly confirm the ability to charge upwind and point higher than any other Bandit I've kited. Also the nimble/quick turns do make it feel like a 7m. The smooth boost, great hang time and the short depower length make this an excellent kite. I agree the B11's are a step change if the kites were a person they would say "okay I was a good all round kite when I was a kid I learned lessons I've evolved. But now I'm a grown up I'm going to show you how good I've become".

"It’s the fastest 9m kite I’ve ever flown, and I’ve been flying what are billed some of the best wave kites on the market in recent years."
That's quite a claim. Think i'm going to have a go.
