I do recall seeing Ralf Groesel of duotone running around with what looked load cells on the kite lines.
The project teta did publish results.

I remember back in the windsurfing days Ken Winner would sink boards in a pool to calculate the real volume.
I miss that type objective measuring from independent sources.

From the test data for the Duotone Rebel kite it appears that the bar pressure/force (steering lines) was 17.6kg vs 58.6kg total pressure/force (41kg on center lines). So for this kite the bar pressure is around 30% of total. The Dice and Neo had slightly higher percentages. The Vegas had the higher percentage of the four kites tested. For those of you that own these kites, does this agree with your experience?

Very interesting !!
Wish they had reported the line angles, or "elevation angles" as labelled in the article, during testing so that lift and drag forces could be separated.

3 years now I used RRD kites...bar pressure is soooo much. especially Addiction.. my last was Addiction 8 and 10.5 Y26(2021).. I can tell you my hands are full of hard things in my fingers, I changed to Rebel and the bar is butter soft... Amazing feeling .. very pleased changed to Rebel.. so happy(bar pressure on RRD is like windsurf power... 35 years of windsurf)
