Lets disregard for a moment if you think the design is right or wrong.
How about "safe" or "unsafe"? Not something we should ignore.

None of the parts suggested for printing are Jesus nuts. IE if they break you get to meet Jesus. If the lf ring fails all that happens is the chicken loop runs on the slider rope. If the secondary qr fails you loose your kites.

Now if you want to scare yourself. Go look at the jesus plastic parts on your chicken loop. All manufactured by the lowest bidder in China!.

My apologies if I missed something, but what is wrong with the Antal ring...?

Antal ring is fine, only issue ALU doesn't like salt water and so much friction when rope catches some sand.

Wow, look at that, the lettering is right in the way of the rope, imagine that.

You can also imagine going toeside on your board with the ring right at the edge of the harness and digging into that lettering. Not only the lettering, but also that dumb groove in the middle too, which I haven't even began to talk about.
Oh come on LetsFlyaKite, anyone can see that when the loaded CL is around the ring there's simply no way that the rope in a loaded condition would be against the side of the ring (including the lettering).

Bille, he is making a life protecting device out of plastic. Out of plastic!

Would you trust this on your hang glider? To be dangling off of it at high altitudes? Would a rock climber use one of these to support his weight off the side of a cliff??? I don't care what kind of plastic he's using, the point is, it's plastic!
...
Man, and to think no one takes me seriously on this board is unreal... My comments save lives!
I do take Ya serious ; my opinion is different !
HELL-NO would i trust my life to, "THAT" part he made (.) :nono:

I know they can 3D print in carbon and aluminum and plastic , (with many different grades)
and the matrix can be arranged an infinite # of ways.
All I'm saying, is that a solution, "Could" be found ; and giving-Up is NOT an option.

Bille
No bille, he needs to give up. It is for his own good.

That cheap plastic thing is going to either get someone killed, get him sued, or land someone in the hospital. Do you want that? Because I sure don't.

You're definitely wrong...

What happens when lul comes through and the wind dies, and then a gust of wind comes and blows the kite in the other direction? Yeah, it's going to scrape the hell out of the rope with that dumb lettering and grove embossed in it.

This makes me not want to buy any kind of Dynabar products ever, because if he's doing something as stupid as making texture in a "No friction" ring then imagine what else he's doing in any other one of his products :o

And what kind of idiot would ever be so dumb to trust this guy with their life on a plastic thing that is printed from a printer in someone's house???

NOT THE OWNER OF MY EQUIPMENT!!!
