Getting over that wave looked easier than over 2m sea foam at my local wave spot

Toby actually brings up a good point which is waves (specifically really large waves) are a cheat way to increase the boost height we see from all the kiters who kite in SA. Just like the ones who like to donkey kick above their head when they boost so they can squeeze out a couple of extra feet.
I think using massive waves as kickers is not a legitimate representation of how high someone can boost. I guarantee none of those 70 ft and 90 ft boosts would happen off of flat water.

Cape Town?
Good kickers and powerful wind...
And I am sure one day someone will find a spot with upwinds...where the wind takes you really high.
Will this be cheating then?

I always thought the wavehigh wasn't counted because the Woo starts counting heigth from the moment if 'feels' you are coming of the water. So wheter your kickerwave is 1m or 10m , doesn't matter for the woo heigth. Or am I wrong?

Have wondered this myself... if you boost of a 2m wave, and land on the lowest point...will that be 2m extra?
