For the reasons below, I believe the Cloud Connection System to be the safest of all:

1) Option to fully disconnect with 01 step only.
2) One single front line system.
3) More depower, because the bar is closer to the body ( Does any other system has 72cm of travel to sheet in/out?)
Unless the OP's girlfriend has exceptionally long arms the Cloud Connection is absolutely not suitable!
My height is 1,90 mts. My arms are really long. I don't NEED the CCS to access the kite's full depower range. I use it because if the bar is closer to the body, than the SWEETSPOT is closer to the body. This is basics ergonomics, try to do anything with your hands away or close to your body and tell me which one gives you more comfort.

Now, if you tell me that his girlfriend is going to UNHOOK, I would agree It's not suitable for her.

Are you sure almost all changed to single frontline QR?
The ones that do not do this still have pretty decent safeties these days. I'd do some internet research on the major brands, you can look at their control systems on their websites and see which have the SLFO system.

I can definitively say that

Cabrinha
Flysurfer
Ozone
Naish

All have single line flag outs.

I can add North, Ocean Rodeo, Switch, and Slingshot to the list of single line flag kites

Yes, the Ocean Rodeo Stickshift bar has 115 cm of bar sheeting travel if the adjustable stopper is set at the very top.
That's really interesting. I know there are limits on how long the sheeting travel can be, because the kite's angle of attack has it's limits. Is it ok to change the kite's angle of attack with such a huge sheeting travel?

I know that any TRIM system can also change the bar's sweetspot. But then, if she gets overpowered, she is dangerously close to the stopper ball. This is another reason I believe in the CCS system safety.

I doubt that the OP's girlfriends arms are anything like as long as yours but hey, anything is possible.

Here is my post in full.

Hope someone can help me.

I'm trying to find the best and safest beginner kite for my girlfriend.

Which ones can you recommend that flags on only one line (single frontline or 5th line) ?

Take care
For example, better to use a SS Sentinel bar with a rope slider and SS Talon QR to bring everything closer to her.

I'm looking for kites (not C) with quick release systems that releases on one line instead of two lines.

As of 2016 every major brand except for F-One and RRD had a SLF safety.
For 2018 both RRD (Global V8) and F-One (Linx) now have a SLF safety as well.
For a 5th line safety, it's now mainly North that still offers this option. Most brands have abandoned this feature since 4-line SLF systems are sufficient, simple, and are not prone to wrapping the kite.
Maybe some others can chime in on who still offers a 5th line option in addition to North.

Thank you all!

That's great - then I have many more to choose from than I thought.

I guess there are some threads on best beginner kites in the forum already.

I'll see if I can narrow it down to the beginner friendly models with high depower + single line safety / 5th line safety.

Almost all brands that have a true C kite offer a 5 line bar, sometimes it's just an option on the 4 line bar tho, and sometimes they don't offer the 5th line (I think Switch does it this way). You can use a 5 line bar on any kite, since the 5th line is slack you can just attach it to the pump loop. So . . . naish, cabrinha, switch, best, rrd all sell control bars that you can use in 5 line mode. North is a really nice control bar but it has the high Y thing that I hate. The Naish 5 line is also high Y. I think the exception is slingshot. I don't remember if Slingshot offers a 5 line control bar any more as their fuel can be ridden in 4 line mode. Of course it's an trivial modification to change a 4 line system to a 5 line system, so if you have a 4 line bar you like and want to convert it to 5 line I say go for it. Swap out the swivel for a 5 line part and then use the 5th line instead of the single center line as your flagging line.

As said above almost every modern control bar (post 2016 or so) for a 4 line kite is now single center line. The mini-5th mentioned above with the Y for a 4 line control bar is nearly extinct.

If you have a 4 line system with that Y (the mini-5th) that you like and want to convert it to a single center flagging system it's pretty easy, buy a swivel (costs about $50-$60) and swap it out with whatever is in that place for the kite. You will need to get 4 new lines because the Y system uses different length kite lines and single center flagging is always 4 equal length kite lines.

Gotta recommend the Ocean Rodeo Prodigy kite and stick shift bar!

kite: very stable and forgiving, great wind range and depower, easy turning and drifting, low to medium bar pressure, roll-over bridle, over sheeting (back stalling) isn't an issue... recommended for beginner to advanced and beyond
Bar n lines: great rear line trim system for any length arms and a large sheeting range, ergonomic bar that's super solid, top of the line flying and control lines, great centerline wrap and g-stop system.

slightly off original topic but you can watch any BRM video and notice each user will pull the center lines and they can easily reach the bar.
maybe some people just dont know how to make full use their equipment and consider that a downfall of the brand...
its pretty simply just a kite connected to a bar with lines not some complicated contraption
