Hi Irie,

I'm getting myself a shotgun and feel like in between sizes and wondered if you're still prefering the 136? Have you sold the 138 this season?

I'm around 94kg and split between the 138 and 141. I have a surfboard also, so thinking 138 might be the way to go.

Cheers!

* I note from further reading your 138 is a custom width at 42 rather than 41.
I was out today on 136x40.5 with 9m, 21 knots gusting 30 knots!

I would go for 138x41 because when it's 20+ knots and shitty chop it'll work fine. If it's less than that get on the surf board.

I still have the 138x42 custom because it's a nice board to travel with so I want to keep it.
Thanks.

Now you've convinced me to get both. The 138 will be good for stronger home days, but the 141 would be a good board to travel with giving better wind range options.

What did you like/dislike about each?

The the choppy UK conditions the Shotgun sounds perfect reading the feedback. From what I understand the shotgun is better (read more comfortable) in chop, the oceans is a bit stiffer and will hold an edge better in powered conditions. The oceans is also better if riding boots.

i'm pretty much convinced to buy a Shotgun, but not sure if it's worth going for the custom for entity footstraps since i just broke one and i'm pretty tired with duotone quality, although i love how they feel when riding
How are the Lieuwe footstraps compared with the entity for example or how are they in general ? Would anyone recommend them or go for another brand?

What were the others you tested? Was there a Jamie sls or textreme amongst them?

I’ve just ordered a shot gun. Loving the trident graphics.
Hope the board rides well.

What graphics did you go for?
Let us know how you get on buddy. Always curious of reviews.
Currently on a naish kl pro monarch, but trying to sell it. I have a Tony Brauer airstyle handle. It’s got 20cm space between centre screw holes they have said it won’t fit. Bit gutted. :-(
Here is to the new boards though. :-)

I got my shotguns end of November.

Without a doubt the best twintips I've used. Smooth through chop, plenty of grip, but still surprisingly playful when you want to break free of that grip on the surface.
