Gator, how can you actually separate the depower line / PU tubing from the cleat? I tried it but it seems to be glued together?
I want to get rid of the PU tube and use the Cabrinha bar with a bare depower rope. Don´t use a chicken loop anyway, so no worries at the lower end of the tube :D

BTW, I never had any issues with my Cabrinha Bar (2018 model). So far...

Yes you can. First undo the lines from the cleat or recoil at the top, which sounds like youve done.
Then go to the spinner handle at the bottom of your bar. Undo the screw and open this up and from here you can take the PU tube off. There are great videos on youtube showing all the steps.

I´ve undone all the parts you mention (Trimlite 1X model), but the PU tube and the cleat don´t come apart. Also, the line inside the PU tube cannot be moved at all, seems stuck. Despite I´ve loosened the line at the cleat.
I can´t find those videos, where the PU tube is separated from the lines inside of it and from the cleat.
Any further ideas?

I’m with bragnouff - take your favorite bar and get evan’s seatbelt QR to get rid of chickenloop and be able to unspin lines. Then a clamcleat and block and a couple meters of 5mm & you are in business. Easy to duplicate Evan’s attach for front lines and safety line ...
- mucking with bars gives me something to do when it’s not windy
Clamcleat CL211 MK2 Racing Junior (hard anodised) with Aero Base and a couple of metres of 5mm Dyneema with Evan's QR is what I use.

So you've undone the knot at the top of the cleat?

After that you need to feed the lines out of the cleat, it is held in with metal teeth so you cant just pull it out. Maybe you cant see the metal teeth. Use a blunt tool and fishing wire to feed the lines out of the cleat by pulling it out of the window in the cleat that you can see between the top opening and the bottom opening. Let me know if this makes sense.

They do, everything does, but you see them wear out, so that you can make an informed decision and replace them before they fail.

I used to get 2,000km out of my bike tires, but they never suddenly exploded at the 300km-mark. In fact, I would ride into the bike shop with threads showing and they still hadn't failed.

I'm not moaning about wear, I'm moaning about a shit fashion-victim design and accelerated, invisible wear.

What's your experience with the Core version of safety system? I like the look of it a lot...

You ask the UK importer of Core kitesurfing equipment what he thinks about "the Core version of the safety system"?

Is that code for saying you're incapable of giving an honest answer because of your affiliations?

Judging by CaptainCore's previous posts, unlikely.

Unlikely to be incapable of honest appraisal? :D
