These are great posts. The advice I was given and has worked for me was much simpler.
First buy the kite you will use the most, not the one you wish/hope you will be on the most.
Then go up 3m and down 2m.
For lots of folks this ends up starting at 9, then 12 & 7,
That is definitely a quiver for a windy place like the Gorge, but not Wisconsin. I could almost leave my largest kite (13.5m) home when I hit the Oregon coast, but 13.5m is my most used kite in the Midwest. OP - you need to up-size from this, but you already know that.

12m is considered by me, and many others as “slow size”. I’m 200 lbs and 11m is plenty sufficient as a regular size
Me too on the Oregon coast, but not in the Midwest - location dictates you quiver.

Hi Guys,

I am 66kg and just bought a 10m Duotone Evo and I ride a TT board . I own also a 7m Duotone Neo and I am thinking If I made a wrong choise and if it would be better to get a 9m kite and after that a 12m kite (for 3 kite quiver ) or a 11m Evo (for two kite quiver). Do you believe that the 10m was a wrong choise ?

To answer your question, no you're fine. Leave it as is until you become better at kiting and then you can worry about 3 kites. If you have further questions, happy to answer them in your other thread.

I found this an interesting topic. I have built a quiver over the years (as you do) and I keep records on my sessions. Kite size, wind range, time etc. From the last 3 years, for example, I have found that in my kite spots I use my kites as follows: 8m 1%, 10m 7%, 11m 12%, 12m 33%, 15m 30%, 17M 10% and 19M 7%. So in my kite spots I could get by without my 8m and possibly use my 12m instead of the 11m. I also use a small TT and Large TT. I need both to get the most of particularly the lighter winds. I take both to the beach and can swap them out if wind range varies too greatly before pumping another kite up. So for me it is juggling between kite size, board size and de-power/power range to get the most comfortable sessions.
