Hi Rusty Chain, how ya been? DZGUY from Kenosha here.

Did you get out kiting time since last April? I haven't and am anxious to give it another go.

We are heading back to South Padre 11/6-14. One more is always welcome!

John

How do you know he's fat?

I'm 105kg lean.

Not everyone is built like a tea towel.

Who knows. Losing muscle mass can make things much easier for kiting too.

Got 2 friends built like units i kite with 100+ that had only good things to say about dropping down for their sport.

I dropped 8 from 94, no bulking, no regrets. I recomnend it if kiting is more important to you than gains short of being 6'7!

*Disclaimer: I sell all of these things...

I'm only just now going to add a 7m kite to my own quiver b/c I had ONE session last year where I flew an 8 in 40-50 mph, and would've been powered just fine on a 7.
This I do not understand. From physics twice as much wind should give us 4 times more pull.
So if you really had 50 mph you should have 4 times smaller kite for that than your 25 mph kite which I guess is 10 or 12.Which gives us 3m kite. I do not see how going from 8 to 7 could possibly help riding in 50 mph!
I am a beginner though so is likely missing something here obviously :-)
